WELCOME TO THE METAL PROCESSING PLANT
This blog was created to show our current and potential customers how MP Logistics can ease your supply chain problems with 1 phone call. MP Logistics revolves around the Metal Processing plant. By calling us, we can arrange economical transportation from any supplier to Metal Processing, arrange processing, and storage, and then once the processing and or storage is completed, move the material to the final customer. We have our own MP Transport fleet to make these moves locally, and then hundreds of contract carriers to handle our overflow. We can load and unload railcars, containers and make intermodal movements throughout North America.
Metal Processing Logistics Warehouse Facility
- ABOUT THE WAREHOUSE
- 201 Mississippi, Gary, Indiana
- The Metal Processing plant is strategically located at 201 Mississippi in Gary, Indiana. It is minutes by truck to I-65, the Indiana Tollroad and I-80-94. The plant consists of over 350,000 square feet with expansion capabilities of another 150,000. There are two separate drive through lanes for shipping and receiving master coils as well as a separate E.J.& E. track through the plant. Railcars are moved with our own Trackmobile. The shipping area has 4 docks. Inside the Plant there is 150,000 square feet dedicated to Steel Storage. All coils are stored on wooden coil saddles with particular attention to surface critical material. The plant is equipped with 4 slitters (36",52", 60",72"), 1 cut to length line and 6 overhead cranes with up to 60,000 pound capacity. Customers can track orders and storage through EDI.
